a partner at LCWC, Ruth had a private
therapy practice. Ruth's work history
includes work as a staff therapist for
four years at St. Francis Counseling Center;
work as a generic caseworker for the Division
of Youth and Family Services; and working

and debilitating developmental and physical
difficulties. Throughout her years

with families with a focus on trauma.

and the belief that trauma treatment must
include an integrated approach of mind,
body, and spirit brought her to her decision
to join as one of the senior partners
at LCWC. Ruth utilizes three specific
modalities of practice that she believes
are most effective in a therapeutic process:
Sandplay Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization
and Reprocessing (EMDR) and a combination
of Psychodynamic and Cognitive-Behavioral
Therapy. Ruth has taught as an adjunct
at Georgian Court College. She has
also served as a member and responder
on the Emergency Response Team (ERC) of
