The
Introduction to Sandplay Training Series is
approved by The National Association of Social
Workers (Provider # 886494069), the California
Board of Behavioral Sciences (PCE 4233), The
National Board of Certified Counselors (Provider
#6253) and The Association for Play Therapy
(APT Approved Provider # 06-175) for 18 Continuing
Education Contact Hours. The Intermediate
and Advanced Sandplay Training Series are
approved for Continuing Education by The California
Board of Behavioral Sciences (for Social Worker
and LMFT), NBCC and APT.
Continuing
Education Credits for Guest Lecturers, Workshops
and other Clinical Trainings will be reviewed
based upon subject matter, and voted on by
the Partners of LCWC. Partial CE credit will
not be granted for any LCWC sponsored events.

Introduction
to Sandplay Therapy
This
Series is a three day, intensive exploration
of Sandplay Therapy. Clinicians will learn
the theoretical background of Sandplay Therapy,
including: Erikson's Developmental Tasks as
applied to Sandplay, basic Jungian concepts
(psyche, self, ego, individuation, collective
unconscious), stages of Sandplay Development
(Kalff and Neumann) and the basic tenets of
Family Sandplay Therapy (with a special focus
on Lois Carey's work). Participants will have
an extensive, hand's on experience of building
their own Sandtray, facilitating the Sandplay
Process for others ("holder" skills) and participating
in experiential exercise with multiple participants

Advanced
Sandplay Training Series
For clinicians who are interested
in a deeper level of training to enhance their
Sandplay Therapy practice, we are pleased
to offer an Advanced Level of Sandplay Training.
Completion of Introductory and Intermediate
Sandplay Training Series is required. The
format is small group (4-6 participants) and
highly experiential. Advanced groups meet
one time per month for three hours, and participants
are required to make a 10 month commitment
to study. Jungian psychology will be covered
in depth, including: shadow, archetypes, feminine/masculine
principles, metaphor and individual and collective
unconscious. All advanced trainings
are approved for CE by APT, NBCC and the California
Board of Behavioral Sciences (SW & LMFT).
